We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in football in general,
and in schools football in particular.
-
play to enjoy football and not to please anybody else.
-
respect other people and treat all players equally, including the opposition.
-
abide by the rules of the association.
-
be well behaved and work hard to improve own personal playing ability.
-
accept responsibility for own behaviour and performance both on and off the field of play.
-
co-operate fully with specialists both on and off the field of play (doctor’s, physios,
coaches etc.) in my own best interests.
-
play fairly and honestly and never deliberately break the Laws of the Game.
-
accept the decisions of the Match Officials without protest. The referee’s decision is final and is to be respected.
-
refrain from using offensive language, smoking and from using alcohol or drugs.
-
be courteous and polite to visiting players and supporters; respect your opposition and their facilities.
-
appreciate the efforts being put in by others on my behalf and show them due consideration and respect.
-
inform my manager if there are any problems (medical or personal) that he should be aware of.
-
shake hands with the opposing team and the match officials at the end of every game.
