On Saturday October 8th Gravesham Under 12s were at home to North Kent in the Kent Cup. Within 2 minutes Gravesham made the perfect start with Henry Arnold shooting and scoring from outside the box. Gravesham continued to push forward with the advantage of the slope and were 3-0 up at half-time thanks to well taken goals by Jaydn Gildea and Luke Carey. North Kent did create some problems for the Gravesham defence, but they worked hard to keep a clean sheet at half-time.
In the second half Gravesham played some superb football and strong pressure forced North Kent to concede an own goal. North Kent , to their credit, continued to battled and pulled a goal back before Luke Carey scored his second goal of the match to ensure Gravesham started their season with a 5-1 win.
